Functional Medicine symptom list

Dr Daniela Mo and Lynda Mallinson excel at determining the fundamental reasons underlying the symptoms their patients are experiencing, through applying functional medicine.

The practice of Functional Medicine requires that careful attention be paid to the details that make up YOU.

A standard first joint appointment in our Clinic will last on average up to 3 hours, significantly longer than the standard medical evaluation. This extra time provides us the luxury of being able to take a complete history, review past medical records and perform a physical exam. It may seem a long appointment, but it is surprising how quickly it seems to pass. Patients often tell us that this is the first time they have been able to “tell their story as a whole”, the first time they have been truly  “heard”.

After gathering this crucial information, we will work together to determine the underlying causes for your health challenges.

Together, we will generate a timeline of your life, which will incorporate family history, health history, and the significant events which have affected you during your lifetime.

This is essential for determining the root causes of your conditions and symptoms. We will then create a personalised “map” of treatment that will enable you to restore and optimise your health.

This treatment plan could incorporate many facets, including laboratory evaluation, a customised nutritional plan, supplements and/or appropriate medications and lifestyle recommendations.
